Doctor of Physical Therapy

- Doctorate of Physical Therapy, from Boston University in 2005
- 20 years experience Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapy
- 12 years experience Advanced training in the field of women’s health physical therapy
I have been a practicing physical therapist for 20 years. After graduating with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (DPT) from Boston University in 2005, I moved back home to California and worked in a variety of outpatient settings focused on orthopedics and sports medicine. After experiencing my own journey through pregnancy and the birth of my two amazing boys, I quickly realized the shortcomings of prenatal and postpartum rehabilitation in our healthcare system. This was the catalyst for me to pursue advanced training in the field of women's health physical therapy beginning 10 years ago. I have a passion for empowering women to gain ownership over their bodies, their physical health, and their overall well-being to live their best life. I do this through education, building awareness, treating physical impairments, and building a toolkit for each client so that they can be proactive in their health and healing.
When I'm not connecting with my women's health patients, I continue to hone my skills as an orthopedic physical therapist here at ROC Physical Therapy. I can also be found running around between all the activities of my 15- and 12-year-old sons, planning our next big travel adventure and enjoying any available quiet time with my husband.
